On 10 and 11 April, CIREC Foundation ran another Rehabilitation Brigade in Riohacha, La Guajira, in partnership with the District Council, continuing the work already under way in the area to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities.

During the visit, prostheses, orthoses and neurological wheelchairs were delivered to 26 children previously assessed by the Foundation's interdisciplinary team. These devices were prescribed according to each beneficiary's specific needs, with the aim of strengthening their mobility, independence and participation in daily activities.

The brigade also included training sessions for mothers who are carers and for family members, who received guidance on the correct use, care and maintenance of the devices delivered. This work strengthens support at home and helps ensure rehabilitation continues.
Through partnerships of this kind we continue bringing specialist services closer to different regions of the country, creating opportunities that support the inclusion, independence and wellbeing of people with disabilities and their families.
