TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
“Sumar para sanar” platform – CIREC Foundation
The “Sumar para sanar” platform is operated by Fundación CIREC – Centro Integral de Rehabilitación Colombia, a non-profit organisation domiciled in Colombia, tax ID (NIT) 860.066.767-4 (hereinafter, “the Foundation”).
Accessing and using the platform implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
“Sumar para sanar” is an institutional awareness and fundraising channel that allows the Foundation to:
The platform is not a marketplace, is not a financial intermediary, and does not guarantee care, fundraising or specific outcomes.
Submitting a case through the platform:
The Foundation may request additional information to complete its assessment.
All submitted cases may be:
Decisions are technical, collegiate and non-discretionary.
Only expressly approved cases may be published as active campaigns.
The Foundation reserves the right to:
The fundraising goal:
The beneficiary may not unilaterally change or set the goal.
All funds raised through the platform:
The Foundation may achieve efficiencies in managing the funds, without this implying any refund or automatic adjustment of the published goal.
The Foundation does not guarantee that campaigns will reach their goal.
Where funds are raised:
The Foundation will deliver the support as defined.
Depending on the type of support, the Foundation may:
For livelihoods support (rent, education, transport), support may be delivered partially (for example, for one or more months), provided a defined minimum deliverable amount is reached.
For entrepreneurship support, delivery will depend on reaching a minimum viable amount.
The campaign will be closed and removed from the platform, and the case will follow the institutional route defined by the Foundation, with no obligation to refund the beneficiary directly. The funds will be allocated to supporting other people with disabilities.
Campaigns will run for a limited period, set by the Foundation.
Campaigns published on the “Sumar para sanar” platform will run for a limited, defined period, which will be stated in each case at the time of publication.
The standard campaign duration is sixty (60) days, with the exceptional possibility of extension up to a maximum of ninety (90) days, according to technical and operational criteria set by the Foundation.
Under no circumstances will campaigns remain active indefinitely.
Management after campaign closure
If a campaign does not reach its full fundraising goal, the Foundation will have a maximum period of up to twelve (12) months from the campaign closing date to:
– deliver the support in full or in part,
– supplement funds with partners or institutional resources,
– prioritise interventions within its social impact programmes, or
– reschedule delivery according to technical and social criteria.
Definitive closure of the case
If, once the maximum twelve (12) month period has elapsed, it is not possible to deliver the planned support in full or in part, the Foundation may declare the case definitively closed as a fundraising process, without this implying any obligation to refund the funds directly to the beneficiary.
The beneficiary's continuity in other institutional programmes will not be automatic and will depend on availability and the prioritisation criteria set by the Foundation.
The Foundation may begin institutional care before, during or after a fundraising process, particularly in cases of urgency or continuity of care.

Content published on the platform (texts, images, videos) is for institutional use and may not be reused without the Foundation's express authorisation.

Providing false information may lead to the case being closed.
Territorial scope
The “Sumar para sanar” platform is intended exclusively for people permanently resident in the Republic of Colombia.
For assessment and eligibility purposes, CIREC Foundation may request information verifying continuous residence in the country, except in exceptional cases duly justified and approved by the Foundation.
Extraordinary circumstances – Death of the beneficiary
In the event of the beneficiary's death during a campaign or during delivery, CIREC Foundation may close the case as an individual campaign.
Any funds raised but not yet used will be allocated to other social impact programmes and processes managed by the Foundation, in line with its institutional mission.
Substantial change in the beneficiary's circumstances
If, during a campaign or the care process, the beneficiary permanently moves their residence outside Colombian territory, or circumstances arise that make delivery of the support unfeasible, CIREC Foundation may close the case as an individual campaign.
In such cases, any funds raised but not yet used will be allocated to other social impact processes of the Foundation, in accordance with its institutional policies.
The Foundation may amend these Terms and Conditions when necessary. Updated versions will be published on the platform.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia.
